New Book by Local Author Details Louisville’s Ultimate Bucket List

100 Things to Do in Louisville Before You Die Releases April 1

100 Louisville_CoverLOUIS, MO—February 17, 2016—A spring book release will take a thorough look at Louisville’s ultimate bucket list, from the Kentucky Derby to the boyhood home of Muhammad Ali, Reedy Press announced today. The book comes out April 1.

100 Things to Do in Louisville Before You Die takes a look at important historical and cultural landmarks; sporting events and entertainment; dining and night life; family fun, and much more. For visitors and natives alike, it provides a quick but intriguing trip through a city best known for bourbon and horse racing, yet has far more to offer.

From Forecastle Festival to the Thomas Edison House, 100 Things looks at better known attractions such as Belle of Louisville cruises on the Ohio River or the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, while also scouring nooks and crannies, taking the reader to places such as Muth’s Candies and the historic Crescent Hill Reservoir, or revealing insights such as the cemetery within the Louisville Zoo.

“I’ve lived in the Louisville area my whole life,” says author Kevin Gibson, “and even I learned a few new things about the city I call home while writing this book.”

“Reedy Press consistently finds the best in cities across America with our 100 Things series, and Louisville’s version is a book we are extremely excited about,” says Reedy Press publisher Josh Stevens.

Gibson will be signing books March 31 at Carmichael’s Bookstore, 2720 Frankfort Ave., 6 p.m. Get more information at or
