Aug. 4 is National IPA Day, but if you aren’t finished celebrating by Friday morning, you’ve got a couple of options happening: the fifth annual Hops on the Hill at Mile Wide Beer Co. and the second annual IPA Fest at West Sixth Nulu, both on Saturday, Aug. 6.

Hops on the Hill typically has featured Mile Wide collaborating on a beer with three different other breweries — this year, the brewery went the extra mile, whipping up three different beers with three companion breweries. Each of the beers will be released during the event on Saturday.

This year’s breweries are Southern Grist Brewing (Nashville), MadTree Brewing (Cincinnati) and Branch & Bone Artisan Ales (Dayton).

This year's Hops on the Hill, which begins at 6 p.m., also includes a host of vendors and non-profits showcasing their wares and distributing information on the work they're doing. In addition, DJ Clay Baker will be spinning tunes until 9:00pm. Mac's @ Mile Wide serving pizza, as always, and Emanuel's Street Taco Truck will make its debut at the festival.

Hops on the Hill also will include Louisville Silent Disco, starting at 9 p.m., and runs until midnight. Guests can rent headphones for $5, good for the whole night.

Over at West Sixth Nulu, IPAs will be featured for a flights or full pours — or both — at IPA Fest.

Two different tasting experiences will be available this year, with choices of a Pick 7, which is seven 5-ounce pours and a tulip glass to take home, or a Pick 4 & Full Pours, which comes with four 5-ounce pours, two full, 11-ounce pours and the glass.

Head to Eventbrite to check out ticket options and information, purchase by location at West Sixth Brewing here, West Sixth NuLu here, and The West Sixth Farm here. Tickets also will be available at the door for $23.
