Galt House Announces Summer Programming

The Galt House Hotel announced a collection of new summer programming.

Summer Leisure Packages

  • As Louisville’s only riverfront hotel, travelers staying at The Galt House Hotel can book the “Stay and Cruise with the Belle of Louisville Riverboats” package to see the Ohio River like never before in partnership with Belle of Louisville Riverboats – a steamboat company owned and operated by the city, providing passengers a gateway to Louisville history, and the arts and cultural heritage of the destination. The Stay and Cruise Package includes an overnight stay at one of the hotel’s deluxe accommodations and two passes for a ride on either the iconic, 1914 Belle of Louisville – a National Historic Landmark and the only remaining authentic steamboat from the great American packet boat era – or the Mary M. Miller, The Belle’s sister vessel named after America’s first woman who earned her master captain’s license.

  • To book, please visit here. Valid for stays Wednesday-Sunday through the end of the year.

  • Visitors can also book museum packages to dive into Louisville’s iconic history, ranging from the Big Bat Experience Package, which includes tickets to the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory.

Trading Post at The Galt House

  • Bourbon enthusiasts will enjoy the hotel’s brand new Trading Post – located on the 3rd floor of the West Tower. Home to an impressive array of barrel picks, shoppers will be delighted to find beloved whiskeys such as Woodford Double Oak, Peerless, Four Roses, Angel’s Envy and much more to enjoy during their stay, or take home as a keepsake from Bourbon City. Additionally, wine lovers can enjoy a rotating selection of wines beginning with Chardonnay from Sonoma Cutrer.

  • The Trading Post is open Thursdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Summer Social and Culinary Experiences

  • Al’s Barrel Select Bourbon Dinner

  • Paying homage to AJS Hotels’ founder, Al J. Schneider, The Galt House Hotel has carefully selected private barrel bourbons from different distilleries, and named them after him. The bourbons are exclusive to the hotel and are perfectly paired with a thoughtful, four-course menu designed by Executive Chef Kendall Linhart. Guests are invited to this special dinner taking place on Thursday, June 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the property’s signature restaurant, Swizzle Dinner & Drinks, located on the 25th floor with views of the Ohio River.

  • Tickets are $120 per person and can be purchased here via Eventbrite.

Cigar Lounge Night at Walker’s Exchange

  • With the return of warmer nights, locals can kick-back on the Walker’s Exchange patio and discover hand-rolled cigars accompanied by unmatched views of the city, drink specials and live entertainment. Additionally, those seeking to dabble in Southern comfort foods, can indulge in the restaurant’s mouthwatering bites that feed the soul.

  • Cigar Lounge Night is a recurring monthly event starting at 6 p.m. Admission is free and dates include June 21, July 26, August 16 and more

In addition to The Galt HouseHotel’s programming above, guests can visit Jockey Silks Bourbon Bar, an original member of the Urban Bourbon Trail and the #1 voted bar and restaurant in Louisville, or grab a drink and catch live jazz performances at Down One Bourbon Bar which has 50+ selections from some of the most sought-after distillers in the world.

The hotel is also walking distance to Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row where the best-of-the-best bourbon tastings and tours await bourbon lovers at nearby distilleries such as Angel’s EnvyEvan WilliamsOld Forester and more.
