Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival Set for Aug. 23 in Central Park

The Old Louisville Neighborhood Council is throwing announced the 7th annual Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival on Friday, Aug. 23 from 6-10 p.m. in Central Park.

Participating brewers include Against the Grain; Akasha; Atrium; Falls City; Goodwood; Holsopple; Hometown Brewing; Hop Atomic; Mile Wide; Monnik; Noble Funk; Old Louisville Brewery; Pivot; Ten20, and West Sixth.

The brewers promise to bring some unique summer ales. Louisville’s best local food trucks like Six Forks Burgers, Fry Daddys, Al Prince Mediterranean and Red Top Hot Dogs will be cooking all night.

This year the Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival is proud to feature Relaay and LittleBand to play the entire event. They plan to play together in four 45-minute sets with lots of energy and fun. With captivating harmonies and a lush, expansive sound, Relaay layers sophisticated pop with the sharp lyrical sensibilities of seasoned singer-songwriters. Danny Flannigan, who is always popular, will bring LittleBand back again.

Admission is $15, while children (18 and under) are free and dogs are welcome. Advance tickets can be purchased at oldlouisville.org/old-lou-brew-craft-beer-fest. Tickets will be on sale the night of the event and can also be purchased at the Visitors Center in Central Park (1340 S. 4th Street). Tickets purchased online will be available for pickup will be available at Will Call, located inside the Visitors Center. All patrons must wear a wristband to attend the event, including those not drinking beer. Brewers will individually sell their own beers and check IDs.

Old Lou Brew Craft Beer Festival is a family and dog-friendly event, and all are encouraged to attend. Ample street parking is available around the perimeter of Central Park.

All proceeds support the nonprofit advocacy work of the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council (OLNC). The council works to protect and promote the nation's largest historical preservation district of Victorian era homes. They also plant treat to combat the urban heat island, work with the city to address abandoned and neglected buildings, organize cleanups, and bring people together for free concerts in Central Park with the Old Louisville LIVE series.
