Vernon Lanes Unveils New ‘Vernon Lofts’ AirBnB Suites

Vernon Lanes recently unveiled a new “stay and play” feature in the form of the Vernon Lofts – rentable suites situated above the historic bar and bowling alley. I took a tour of the space this week and, well, let’s just say, the space as a whole is impressive.

The décor in the themed suites is subtle and welcoming, and it’s clear the renovation was completed with purpose, right down to custom cabinetry.

The top two floors of the building, which once was home to nine apartments, have been completely changed to now incorporate three themed spaces: The Derby Suite, The Bourbon Room and The Muhammad Ali Suite.

The Derby Suite is a one-bedroom space with two beds (one is a sleeper sofa) and a single bath, which holds up to four guests. The living area features a wet bar, mini fridge and microwave, among other amenities. Derby-themed décor offer visitors a taste of Louisville in every room.

The Bourbon Room is also a single bedroom and bath space, which also has a sleeper sofa to accommodate four people. This unit features a wet bar, mini fridge and microwave, not to mention plenty of bourbon-themed décor and a pool table.

The Muhammad Ali Studio Suite follows suit, with a single bedroom and space for four. The  studio-style loft features a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave, with large arched doors leading into the single bath. Muhammad Ali posters and other décor abound – including a pair of boxing gloves.

The Muhammad Ali Suite is spacious and charming! There is one king sized bed and a queen sized pull out sofa sleeper in the living space, comfortably sleeping 4 guests. This is a studio style loft. There is a wet bar area that provides a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. You will enjoy the bonus of heated floors in the beautiful bathroom, boasting large arched doors and stunning tile work.

In addition, guests also can take advantage of one half-off appetizer at the Vernon Lanes bar during their stay. Prices generally range from $125-$150 per night, depending on the room, and rates can vary.
