West Sixth to Launch Food Truck

West Sixth Brewing Co. announced on its social media accounts that it will roll out a food trick this spring.

West Sixth Cantina will feature Latin fare, including burritos, tacos & more. While the Cantina will mainly be station at the West Sixth Farm in Lexington, with the goal of providing consistent food options for patrons there, it will also make appearances at West Sixth Nulu and at events around Kentucky.

The launch date and menu have not yet been announced. The brewery also announced it is hiring for the project. To apply, visit westsixth.com/jobs.

UPDATE 1/11/22: West Sixth, in an e-mail announcement, made an additional statement regarding the West Sixth Cantina: “After a few years of rapid growth at our outdoor taproom, the West Sixth Farm, we knew there was an opportunity to enhance our patrons' experiences in this space. We know that a full and fun weekend at the farm is made even better with food – and realized that even with our various food truck partners and friends, providing a consistent source of something to eat is one of our biggest challenges.

“With the West Sixth Cantina, we hope to serve filling and year-round options for lunch and dinner – that pair seamlessly with our cold Kentucky-proud beers and a full day of outdoor activities and exploring. Our goals include sourcing Kentucky-proud ingredients where possible, and highlighting our dishes with seasonal herbs and veggies grown right on the Farm.”

Sounds like the food truck will spend the vast majority of its time in Lexington. Maybe if it’s a hit, Louisville will get one too.
