As they say sometimes, come hungry. The 50th anniversary of culinary event The Taste of Louisville is set to take place Oct. 16 at Mellwood Art Center.

This year, the Kentucky Restaurant Association Louisville Chapter this year will salute KRA Legendary Originals with more than 75 area chefs serving up their wares. In addition, there will be some 25 different libations, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Meanwhile, attendees can enjoy live music, a DJ, silent disco, VIP Lounge and more throughout the evening.

“The Taste of Louisville is a celebration of our vibrant restaurant scene, bringing together the best of local and regional flavors under one roof,” Tom Enyeart, Title Sponsor from Gordon Food Service and Co-Chair of The Taste of Louisville, said in a news release. “Join us to meet the chefs behind your favorite dishes and enjoy some of the finest Kentucky libations.”

This year’s event will support Feed Louisville and Frankie’s Family, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping families in need. Founded by Frankie Hilbert, the organization has made a significant impact by providing essential items and support to those in need, especially during the holidays.

Tickets are $85 for one or four for $300. A reserved table for 8 is $800. Tickets to the event, which is 6-9 p.m., are available at The Taste of Louisville (21+ only) Tickets | Louisville, KY | Mellwood Arts Center (etix.com). The Mellwood Art Center is located at 1860 Mellwood Ave.
