10 Taste Salute, to Honor Anoosh Shariat, Set for Oct. 13

10 Taste Salute, a celebration of Chef Anoosh Shariat, is set for Oct. 13 at The Olmsted. The event is a fundraiser for APRON Inc., which is celebrating 13 years of charitable service to hospitality workers.

The Ten Taste Salute is one of the non-profit organization’s largest fundraisers. The event will kick off with a Korbel cocktail hour featuring 360 Photo Booth, followed by multiple tastings prepared by some of Louisville’s finest local chefs. The tastes will reflect Shariat’s love for “eating well and loving life.”

Signature cocktails from talented mixologists will be a bonus feature. Throughout the experience, team APRON, with the assistance of honorary MC Dawne Gee will present an auction, raffle, and guests will hear from some of the “heroes” APRON has impacted throughout the past years.

During the Covid pandemic, APRON received an unprecedented number of applications from hospitality workers and have paid out over $1 million in grants to more than 1,100 employees from over 180 restaurants in just the past three years.

The event begins with the Korbel Happy Hour at 5 p.m., with the tasting and celebration to follow from 6:15-8:30. The Olmstead is located at 3701 Frankfort Ave. Tickets to the fundraiser are $150 per person, and tickets can be purchased at this link.
